We found her in an old Georgian manor, tucked away in a trunk beneath the stairs. Porcelain face, faded dress, and a strange chill in the air when you get close. The Locals said the house was haunted by a little girl named Eliza, around 9 years old, who died in the house sometime in the early 1800s.
What’s odd is the lights. Someone added tiny battery powered lights around the doll’s neck and dress. At first, I thought it was just decoration, but the homeowner swears they light up on their own, especially at night. Turns out, Eliza was terrified of the dark. She used to cry when the candles went out. I’ve had dreams of her showing me. 
Now, even in death, she finds comfort in the glow.
I’ve recorded whispers. Soft humming. The doll’s eyes seem to follow you, but not in a threatening way. More like she’s watching, waiting. I don’t think Eliza means harm. She’s just… stuck. Still scared. Still holding on.
One night, I left the doll in the museum’s nursery and turned off the lights. Around 2 a.m., the battery lights flickered on by themselves. I went to check, and the room was ice cold. The doll had moved just slightly, her head tilted toward the door. Then I heard it: a soft, breathy whisper. “Don’t leave me.” I keep the lights on now. Whatever Eliza needs to feel safe, It’s the least we can do.
