Lula died at just nine years old, and her spirit never learned how to rest. She clings to her rag‑doll vessel with a kind of frantic, broken energy that twists the air the moment you walk into the room. Her presence is cold, sharp, and wrong in a way that makes your stomach tighten before anything even happens.
The first sign of Lula is the scratching. Soft at first, like tiny fingers dragging across fabric. Then louder. Then above you. She is known to manifest on the ceiling, flat against it, limbs bent at unnatural angles, her head slowly turning to face you. Her rag‑doll vessel stays still on the bed or shelf, but Lula herself crawls across the ceiling like she’s trying to get closer without ever touching the floor.
A smile appears across her face just before drops towards you she vanishes.
Her hair looks wet and her clothes dirty. Possibly a clue of how she passed away? We have never been given that answer from her. Even when asked repeatedly, she just becomes angry and active.
Her activity escalates fast.
Breathing in your ear when the room is silent.
Whispers that sound like a child trying not to cry.
Cold spots that move around your body like hands.
And the sudden thump above you when she drops from the ceiling and vanishes before she hits the ground.
In life, Lula was quiet, withdrawn, and often found hiding in small spaces. After her passing, that behaviour twisted into something darker. She hides above you now, watching, waiting, choosing the exact moment when you least expect her to move.
At night, you may wake to see her silhouette pressed against the ceiling, her head tilted, her hair hanging downward towards you. Sometimes she sings, a soft, broken hum, right before she crawls out of sight.
Her rag‑doll vessel is known to move into different rooms during the night while you sleep. You’ll leave her in one place before bed, only to wake and find her sitting somewhere else entirely, propped in a doorway, placed on a chair, or waiting in the centre of the floor as if she chose that spot just for you. Each morning becomes a search, a quiet moment of dread, wondering where Lula decided to position herself while you slept.
The scent of vanilla is known to drift through the rooms before she manifests.
We wouldn't class her as a negative spirit. We would class her as misunderstood. A spirit that needs to be settled in a home before she opens up.
