Nancy is known as the Mirror Bride, a spirit who appears in reflective surfaces with a presence that feels cold, sharp, and unnervingly aware. In life she was a bride who never made it to her wedding day, and in death she clings to mirrors as if they are the only doorway she trusts. Her energy is quiet until she chooses to reveal herself, and when she does, the room changes instantly.
Nancy shows herself in mirrors first. Sometimes she stands behind you, sometimes beside you, and sometimes she replaces your reflection entirely. Her face is pale, her eyes dark, and her bridal veil hangs in a way that makes it difficult to see her full expression. The most unsettling part is the way she manipulates reflections. If you turn your head, your reflection may not follow. It may stay still, look in the wrong direction, or shift a moment too late. Sometimes your reflection smiles when you don’t. Sometimes it blinks when you haven’t moved at all.
Her activity is jumpy and unpredictable. She appears suddenly, vanishes instantly, and reappears in a different mirror without warning. Lights may flicker when she moves. You might hear a soft tap on the glass, as if she’s testing the barrier between her world and yours. Occasionally she causes a cold rush of air behind you, the kind that makes you turn even though nothing is there. Objects may shift , especially items near mirrors, a brush, a candle, a piece of jewellery, as if she’s brushing past them.
Nancy also distorts reflections around the room. A mirror across the hallway may show someone standing in the doorway when the space is empty. A reflection may stretch, darken, or flicker for a moment before returning to normal. She enjoys catching people off guard, and her presence is strongest when the house is quiet and the lights are low.
She communicates through impressions, sudden chills, and the feeling of being watched from behind the glass. Sometimes you may hear a faint whisper that seems to come from the mirror itself, or a soft breath against your ear when no one is near you. Nancy is a spirit who wants to be noticed, and she makes sure you feel her when she arrives.
